There are a few references to pop culture and music in The Damage. I have always been interested in fictional characters and their choices in the music. Some of my favourite novelists use their character’s music tastes as a way to explore the character’s. There is a scene in The Damage when Robert Doyle the main character studies the bookshelves and music collection of in his missing friend’s flat. Its always been an interesting way into people’s personalities I have thought. So today I have chosen three music clips from bands/artists mentioned in The Damage. Each is from a different character. Two are songs I personally like and one isn’t. Guess which ones are which!
