Where are the Best Places to Read? What about Reading at the Cricket

Option 1: Reading at the cricket

Having been away on holiday recently I have been doing a lot of extra reading (catching up on that long list of books to be read). A lot of it on holiday was in airports, planes or trains. Which apart from trains, are not the best places to read. The last couple of days I have been racing through a book that has been on my shelves for probably a couple of years waiting to be read (Skin Privilege by Karin Slaughter…..pretty good read) and I realised that for me one of the best places to read is at the cricket. Or even better as I have been doing this weekend on the couch in front of the cricket on the TV.

For those of you in countries that don’t have cricket, let me tell you there is nothing better than spending the day reading a book, glancing up occasionally at the TV or when their is a cheer to see a wicket or big shot or whatever. It is the perfect sport, lasts for days, not a huge amount happens so you don’t have to pay attention the whole time. So watching the cricket gets my vote for one of the best places to read a book.

What are your favourite places to read? I’d love to hear from where you like to read and maybe pick up some good ideas so let me know.

For me…..I’m back to see last innings of Australia v Sri Lanka……between a few more pages of my book.

  1. Thanks for the like! I love your blog here. I have to say my favorite place to read is in bed. I can stay up for hours reading at night! And that’s not always a good thing! :) Best of luck in the new year and happy blogging! Hope you stop by again soon!
